And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the cost of being proactive
Thursday, Dec 21, 2006
Dozens of hours spent trying to replicate a problem...and then it went away...on its own.
Not only is that a cost of >99.0%, but it's a cost of being proactive.
I wonder if anyone's computed how much time you chase smoke when you're trying to get above a certain level...or is it related to what the "float" level is (e.g. the hockey stick of response time).

Hmm, in more way than one we share some similarities; also remember behind every joke is a nugget of truth.
But also, to prove your point, the problem started re-occuring after Christmas. While I have seen things completely go away (one burned in my mind is a "3 second line").

It's called "the touch" TM. All Lofgren males have it. Just kidding. ;)
I can relate. It's annoying when something "fixes itself". It makes you wonder if the problem will occur again and wonder what in the world could have caused it.
