Helpful envelope budget software
Here are helpful links for the software that is the core to this.
Anticipated endorsed software where the method to make use will be elaborated on:
- Quicken 2008 http://quicken.intuit.com
- Moneywell No Thirst Software - MoneyWell
- gnucash Free Accounting Software | GnuCash (now with a released Windows version in addition to its traditional Linux builds)
- Mvelopes http://www.Mvelopes.com
Other finance software or approaches/tools that emphasizes envelope budgeting (I wish them all the best):
- Dave Ramsey's Envelope Budgeting System
- Envelope Budgeting for Beginners
- The 'Envelope System' In a Cashless Society - Envelope Budget Method
- Personal budget - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- What is Envelope Budgeting? - Envelope Budgeting Defined
- MAKE$.CENTS Envelope Budgeting - Personal Finance Software

(note that while I elaborate on this method for use with non-Quicken programs, I have a specific new feature in Quicken 2008 that I specifically focus on) - Download Envelope Budget, Envelope Budget 2.0 Download
- Envelope Budgeting Software Choices - Financial Software and ...

Other finance software that looks interesting and I want to keep watching:
- Main Page - jGnash (my ultimate dream is that some day one piece of software does envelope budgeting on Mac, Windows, and Linux -- here's one that you can generally use the approach with GnuCash to use today...and maybe someday it will have a complete envelope budgeting approach)
- Microsoft Money http://www.microsoft.com/money (I have a big hesitation with their direction on the 60% spending budget...I feel its the budget for people that budget to be smart rather than budget out of necessity...but you can't ignore the other big vendor that's one of the two exclusive ways to download Discover Card transactions).
